Actor-producer Mark Duplass, who stars in "The League," has bought the home of fellow producer Callum Greene, who is best-known for creating "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,"  Variety reported.

Duplass and his wife, Katie Aselton, a former beauty pageant titlist who also stars in "The League" as Jenny, purchased the property for $4.44 million.

An Expansive Home in an Upscale Community

Based on Variety's description of the property, the three-story home is located in an upscale community in L.A. and prides itself for being one of the most expansive homes in the area. The newly-bought 7,256-square-foot home in Los Angeles, California, contains six bedrooms, five full bathrooms and two half-baths.

Luxury Amenities Fit for Celebrity Owners

The L-shaped residence has lots to offer to the new celebrity owners. There's a game room, a small fitness room and an office space where the actor can stay while researching more about his roles or writing ideas for a film.

The kitchen boasts a spacious working area for convenient food preparation and cooking. It is accented with wooden materials with access to a family room.

The area where the family will bond is next to an open-air dining courtyard with relaxing views of the backyard and the swimming pool. A treat for booklovers can also be found in the humble library, which is actually modest in size but has ample space for books. It also comes with an aquarium which makes reading more enjoyable.

At the back yard, there's a sunbathing deck a carefully-manicured lawn and of course, a mosaic-tiled swimming pool equipped with a spa.

Duplass' new property also includes "a staff suite with a separate entrance and a private guest wing," a foyer, a living room, a dining room, and a three-car garage with direct entry and a gated driveway.

Real But Not Reel Partners in 'The League'

Duplass and Aselton are both part of the long running comedy series which will take a bow after its seventh season, according to Deadline.

They are not reel partners in the show, and for a good reason. Duplass told USA Today in 2009, "We've done that once. Really, are we always going to play a couple? Do we really think we're that cute?"

But Aselton had a better explanation. She said in jest, "I had better chemistry with (actor) Steve Rannazzisi... You wanted me to be honest. And I feel we get to do something different than what we did in 'The Puffy Chair,' which was the bickering couple... I would like to get jobs doing other things that aren't necessarily always with my husband. I'd like to show range - and kiss another guy."

The show's 13-episode finale season will be shown in Fall 2015 on FXX.
