Faster 4G LTE

The iPhone 6 won't feature anything groundbreaking when it comes to cellular connectivity, however it stands to be improved a little. The iPhone 5s/5c and their Windows and Android rivals have plenty fast 4G LTE already and these high-speed networks are still being rolled out across the continental 48. A slight uptick in speeds is possible, if not likely thanks to a newer version of 4G. LTE-A is a revision to the current 4G LTE standard used to access data via mobile devices. The "A" stands for advanced and it implies just that: fast uploading and downloading. The 5s was rumored to be getting LTE-A. Apple hopefully will deliver the goods this time.

Larger, Curved Screen

If you're asking yourself could the iPhone 6 have a curved screen, change your train of thought. Apple has the talent and financial resources to make an invisible phone (joking, sort of) if they wanted to. "Will they make a curved iPhone display for their ninth handset?" is a better question. The answer is probably not, or at least not for a long time. Curved display technology seems much better suited for a wristwatch, like Apple's poorly veiled secret, the iWatch. A curved display is even more of a fad for cell phones than 3D was. The HTC EVO 3D was announced in 2011 and exclusively carried by Sprint. The combination of cool, but fairly useless, 3D due to poorly optimized applications and the lack of 3D content available for purchase contributed to the phones demise despite stellar reviews.

Apple takes calculated risks and a curved iPhone will end up being Jonny Ive's worst product if released. Apple fans should expect a larger display size with a higher PPI count. Developers will have to resize their apps to deal with the increased resolution, but they handled that job really well with the jump in screen size from 3.5 to 4 inches (iPhone 4s to 5). Various screen sizes have been tested by Apple according to various sources including a 6+ inch super phablet. A more down to earth size is somewhere in the 4.7 to 5 inch range. Lately more and more rumors have pointed to a 4.8-inch Retina+ display.

iWallet

The iPhone 6 will surely come packaged with NFC (Near Field Communication). The application that will make the most use out of this technology is iWallet. With iWallet, Apple is taking aim at Google's own digital pocketbook service Google Wallet. If you're tired of carrying around a huge purse or an unmanageable wallet, this will vastly improve your first world issues. Imagine leaving your cash in the bank and your plastic at home. If your phone gets stolen, a thief can't access your cards because of encryption.

Furthermore, a new technology called iBeacon will help make iWallet make checkout lines a thing of the past. iWallet culls your credit card information securely and enables you to make proximity based purchases (due to the iBeacon recognizing your iOS device). An iBeacon may help you purchase a limitless amount of items, like a new iMac or a new mattress if the store your in has one. With iWallet working in conjuction with iBeacon you will be able to forgo registers forever. iBeacon even plays nice with Android devices!
