A former Spanish teacher at a Michigan Catholic school on Wednesday pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct for having sex with a male student, the Detroit Free Press reported.

Kathryn Ronk, 30, is already serving six to 15 years in prison after she was convicted of similar charges in a separate jurisdiction.

The second proceeding stems from the fact that some of the sexual contacts between Ronk and the 15-year-old boy took place at Bishop Foley Catholic High School, located in Oakland County; the former teacher's earlier sentence is related to encounters she had with the same minor at the latter's home, located in adjacent Macomb County.

Ronk appeared in court in a blue-and-pink prison jumpsuit, the Detroit Free Press detailed. She had initially rejected a plea agreement in the Oakland County case but conceded the day it was set for trial; Ronk looked into the audience as lawyers conferred with the Judge Mary Chrzanowski, whose questions she answered with "yes" and "no," the newspaper noted.

The instructor had been arrested last June as authorities accused her of for having sex with the unidentified student at Bishop Foley, a co-educational Catholic high school affiliated with the archdiocese of Detroit that enrolls approximately 400 students, the Daily Mail recalled.

In addition to the encounters at the school and at the boy's home, Ronk had sex with the student in a parked car in Sterling Heights, Michigan, the newspaper added. She was also accused of enticing him to exchange sexually explicit images and of providing him with alcohol, according to the British newspaper.

During earlier court appearances, Ronk apologized to her former student and her own loved ones.

"I'm so sorry for the victim and his family, for the school and the community, my family ...  and I'm so sorry for my husband," she said.

"With (psychological) treatment, I'm getting better. I know I have to go away but this is a life-long journey, and I am meeting it. ... I'm so sorry for those who I have hurt," she added.

In the Oakland County charges, Ronk is scheduled to be sentenced on July 1, according to the Detroit Free Press.
