TV talk show host Dr. Phil McGraw hints he isn't sure if he believes Josh and Jim Bob Duggar's repeated claims about the child molestation controversy that threatens to topple the family's "19 Kids and Counting" empire.

He's offering them a chance to address the matter by coming on "Dr. Phil" and submitting to a lie detector test.

According to Radar, even though the show is officially on hiatus, top execs have extended an invitation to both the father and son to come on the program as guests and take the test about the girls Josh has admitted to assaulting as a teenager. A source also told the website one particular line of questioning during the show would involve the identity of the five victims.

"Dr. Phil also wants to know if Josh has committed any other acts since he was sent away for counseling," the source added.

Since news of Josh's past became public, at least four companies have pulled their advertising dollars from the TLC-aired show -- among them General Mills, Walgreens, Payless Shoesource Inc. and Choice Hotels International.

Though Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have largely dismissed their son's transgressions as "very bad mistakes," the father hasn't always been quite so forgiving when the issue of dealing with sex crime offenders has been raised.

Radar previously reported when he ran for the U.S Senate in 2002, he answered a question on his campaign website, "Rape and incest represent heinous crimes and as such should be treated as capital crimes."

Yet, when Josh Duggar was first accused of repeatedly molesting his victims sometime around 2002-03, his father went to church elders instead of police for help, eventually sending his son to a faith-based treatment center.

By the time police became fully aware of the then accusations lodged against Josh, it was too late to act because of the statute of limitations.
