With only a couple of months more to go before the movie hits theaters, the first poster for 'Veronica Mars' the movie has been unveiled.

Fans of the movie have gone through great lengths to bring back the well-loved character, played by Kristen Bell. The movie is a continuation of a TV show of the same title which aired for three seasons. Veronica Mars was televised from 2004 to 2007 on UPN and the CW.

In February of last year, Marshmallows, which refer to the show-turned-movie fans, took to Kickstarter to show support for a fundraising project to create the Veronica Mars movie.

The Kickstarter project was created by series creator and now movie director, Rob Thomas. With a goal of $2 million, the project bursted at its seams at $5,702,153 with over 90 thousand backers.

"We will make the sleuthiest, snarkiest, it's-all-fun-and-games-'til-one-of-you-gets-my-foot-up-your-ass movie we possibly can. I promise to give it my all. I promise to work my hardest to give everyone a little bit more Veronica, and I will be oh so honored to do so, Bell wrote on the project page."

And indeed, the actress is truly back with her good old camera and P.I. skills. According to E! Online, Veronica Mars will be heading back to Neptune in the movie installment to help her ex-boyfriend Logan Echolls, played by Jason Dohring.

Logan has been accused of murdering his current girlfriend and Veronica leaves behind lover Piz (Chris Lowell) to run to the rescue.

Aside from the main cast, most of the Veronica Mars series characters will be played by the original actors and actresses including Ryan Hensen, Krysten Ritter, Percy Dags III, Tina Majorino, Francis Capra, Ken Marino and Enrico Colantoni, says Yahoo.

Veronica Mars is slated for a "March 14 [release] in AMC Theaters in select markets across the U.S."
