In what appears to be a new series that wagers its winnings on the contestants fright factor, "Hellevator" pits friends against each other who must ride in an elevator through a warehouse of twisted screams and hidden macabre, according to Deadline.

The series will feature, presumably as hosts, the twisted twin sisters from "American Mary," Jen and Sylvia Soska. The Soska twins were also the creators of that movie as well as stars, which they followed up with on "See No Evil 2."

The Soska twins are also the creators for this upcoming horror-themed game show series on the Game Show Network.

As stated on Deadline, the show's main premise is for teams of three friends to get through a warehouse maze on an elevator trip that takes them to different levels of the warehouse. The fright factors on each level will be especially challenging for the contestants because each time they stop, one member of the trio must get out and face whatever impending doom lies ahead.

Each level contains its own unique fright and will play on each individual's fears in a what can only be described as a gruesome and disturbing manner, which the Soska twins are known to convey in their films.

There is also an added bonus for viewers of the upcoming series. The escapades each one takes in their corresponding level will have time limits and if someone does not make it back from their level in time, the elevator leaves without that person and leaves him or her stranded there. It also means that they do not get their part in the grand prize, which can be up to $50,000.

Jason Blum ("Paranormal Activity," "The Purge," "Sinister," "Insidious") has signed on with his production company to executive produce the upcoming series along with Jay Peterson and Todd Lubin from Matador.
