NBA free agency has begun. General managers and owners have started negotiations with players across the league. While nothing can be signed until July 9, "verbal agreements" can be made between players and teams.

This offseason is rich in power forwards. Here are the top five power forwards who are free agents this offseason.

5. Amar'e Stoudemire

Carlos Boozer is a free agent, but we're going to begin this list with Amar'e Stoudemire instead. Stoudemire is a more effective scorer, better free throw shooter, and he will probably draw more interest this offseason. Stoudemire has played for the Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks in his career so he is used to playing in different systems. Despite a down season last year, Stoudemire still averages nearly 20 points per game in his career.

Possible Teams: Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics

4. David West

Maybe the most underrated power forward in the NBA today. David West will turn 35 years old this offseason, but he is still a great big man who can hit his free throws. West is an 82-percent free throw shooter for his career, and he helped the Indiana Pacers come within one series of a Championship appearance last year. West is also a very good passer for a power forward, and many think he will be playing elsewhere next season. He and Roy Hibbert created a great front-court duo, but West decided to opt and test the market this offseason.

Possible Teams: New York Knicks, San Antonio Spurs, Washington Wizards

3. Kevin Love

Just about all signs point to Kevin Love returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers. While he has connections to Los Angeles, reports have indicated that Love will re-sign with the Cavaliers this offseason. Love can't re-sign with the Cavaliers until July 9, so he can still weigh his options. Don't expect the Cavaliers to let Love walk and sign elsewhere though. Just about all other reports point to Draymond Green re-signing with the Golden State Warriors as well.

Possible Teams: Cleveland Cavaliers

2. Tim Duncan

Tim Duncan is 39 years old. Who cares? Duncan is regarded as the single best power forward in NBA history having led the San Antonio Spurs to five championship victories since 1999. Duncan may be past his prime, but he still averaged more than nine rebounds per game and shot over 51 percent from the field last season. Regardless of his greatness, don't expect the "Big Fundamental" to be playing anywhere else next season. Argentine great Manu Ginobili is expected to re-sign with the team this offseason as well. Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green recently agreed to re-sign with the Spurs too.

Possible Teams: San Antonio Spurs, retirement.

1. LaMarcus Aldridge

Sorry, no shocker here. LaMarcus Aldridge is the big name who everyone is trying to get a hold of right now. He is visiting the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers this week, but has also expressed interest with the Spurs as well. Aldridge with the Spurs would be an outstanding fit, but he would obviously have to take less money for that to work. Most signs point to Aldridge not returning to Portland Trail Blazers. He is from Texas, but the Lakers will certainly make a charge because they have a lot of salary cap space opening up.

Possible Teams: Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers
