Nicki Minaj won the Viewers' Choice Award at the 2015 BET Awards on June 28. Her award acceptance speech seemed harmless at first, until both the media and fans realized she was throwing shade at rival Lil Kim.

Minaj, 32, thanked her fans before asking what the award was for, and later said, "Please make it your business to follow your dreams because one day you will wake up and look around and your dreams will be gone and then you will be mad at somebody but be mad at your [g*****n] self."

According to HollywoodLife, there is no doubt that the "Pinkprint" singer was referring to Lil Kim. It seems Minaj's thinly veiled diss was about Kim's irrelevancy and that she has no one to blame but herself.

Lil Kim, 40, who was at the BET Awards with her Bad Boy family for a surprise performance, thinks Minaj should be thanking her for paving the way, an insider told HollywoodLife.

"If Nicki thought that her little sly comment would get under Kim's skin, it didn't. Kim is a legend in this game," the insider said. "She's the best who's ever done it and Nicki should be thanking her lucky stars and her fake booty that Kim did it first! Without Kim, there would be no Nicki."

Minaj may think she's Queen of Rap since Lil Kim's last studio album release was 10 years ago, but loyal fans raved about the Queen Bee's performance at the BET Awards, and, according to P. Diddy, fans will see the "Lighters Up" rapper perform again very soon.

P. Diddy tweeted on June 28, "My girl @lilkim killed it last night. #BadBoyFAMILYtour #ComingtoaCityNearYou #WeLikeHavingFun..."

YouTube user TheLilKimShow posted a teaser video revealing that Diddy and Kim are back in the studio working on new music. "The Jump Off" diva also has a reality TV show in the works.

The two female rappers have had an ongoing feud for years, and, according to Rickey, Lil Kim "has constantly directed anger at Nicki Minaj for 'copying' her."

In 2014, Lil Kim took a stab at Minaj in her track "Identity Theft," saying, "Anything you tryna do, I done did it," and then adding, "I gave birth to your style."

In the music video for the track, Kim posted a picture of Minaj on her driver's license with all of her own information. Kim also took a jab at the "Anaconda" singer on her August 2014 remix to Beyoncé's "Flawless."
