Since the field of candidates for the Republican nomination for President has widened to include New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, "The Daily Show's" Jon Stewart has also widened his selection of who he will torment for the rest of his run on his show.

It was Wednesday that Stewart analyzed Christie's run for the nomination, when he re-aired coverage of Christie responding to Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly's question about the recent poll that showed 65% of the people of New Jersey think that Christie would not make a good president.

First, just consider how Christie responded to Kelly (about 5 minutes into the clip, below) and why the Jersey favorite Stewart made a meal out of him on "The Daily Show." Christie spun the bad poll numbers to people who don't want him to leave his job as governor of the state.

Stewart turned the awkward answer into a parody of the egomaniacal Jersey boyfriend: "No, she said she broke up with me because I'm to good for her. That's why," Stewart said in the segment with a thick New Jersey accent, mocking the Governor's reply. "She said I deserved someone better, that's why. Her words - not mine."

He then likened Christie's primary run to another well known conservative opponent, Donald Trump -- calling him the second place winner to Trump's ego.

According to The Huffington Post, Stewart also tee'd off last night on a slew of talking heads in the media for defending Trump's recent derogatory statements about Mexican immigrants in the U.S. That list includes "Fox and Friends," Republican Congressman Steve King from Iowa and Republican U.S. Senator Ted Cruz from Texas.
