International Boxing Organization and World Boxing Association middleweight champion, Gennady "GGG" Golovkin, is currently eyeing fights with the undefeated Floyd "The Money" Mayweather Jr. and Carl "The Cobra" Froch.

The unbeaten Kazakh, who tallies 30 knockouts out of his 33 professional wins, a 91 percent KO rate, truly spreads terror on the boxing ring. Even the World Boxing Council middleweight champion, Miguel Cotto, who is set to face the Mexican rising idol, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in November, seemed hesitant to clash with the mighty Triple G, as observed by Boxing News 24. Such reluctance was apparent when Max Kellerman of HBO asked him about a possible Cotto-Golovkin fight right after he won over Daniel Geale in Brooklyn.

Ready to face two fighters

However, the two boxers "GGG" recently named as the fighters he intends to have a showdown with seem unimpressed by his credentials.

Golovkin wants a "dream fight" with Mayweather so boxing fans will witness who will be the last man standing when they collide.

Yet, Mayweather underestimated "GGG." Instead, "The Money" chose former welterweight champion Andre Berto and Karim Mayfield as possible opponents in his next bout. Recently, Amir Khan is said to be in the mix of candidates.

"Even with me being at my weight, I'm just too smart... He's [Golovkin's] a solid puncher, but he's straight up and down...really no special effects, at least not to me. You could see him coming straight ahead," Mayweather Jr. said, as quoted by Boxing Scene.

Statements fabricated?

British newspaper City A.M. recently published a report containing an "interview" with "GGG." While Frank Dalleres, sports editor of Cityam.com stands by its story, Golovkin denied the statements attributed to him, Boxing Junkie reported.

"These are not my words in this interview, " said Golovkin in a statement.

The statements being questioned read:

"I will fight anyone my weight or even the weight above and below. Floyd Mayweather or Carl Froch would probably be the best fights for me now. Floyd the weight below and Carl the weight above. Both seem to be making excuses not to fight me unfortunately. At middleweight, the winner of Canelo v Cotto would be biggest," "GGG," allegedly said.

He also allegedly thinks that it would be more entertaining for fans to see a fight between him and Froch, adding that it would also be more challenging for him to face the British boxer.

"Maybe Froch. He is a warrior and it would be explosive. There would be a knock-out..I take every fight very seriously and can only beat those prepared to face me. Maybe Froch could last a bit longer?" Golovkin was quoted as saying.

Froch's reaction

But Froch thinks Golovkin might not stand a chance if he fights him. He posted a picture on his Twitter account showing himself with a caption that read, "Too big and too strong for GGG."

It was then immediately countered by a post from no other than Triple G's promoter himself, Tom Loeffler, and challenged Froch.

Boxing fans may be more impressed if Mayweather and Froch would rather prove their claims on the ring and bring the fierce Golovkin down.
