Jon Bernthal may have leaked what “Daredevil” season 2 will be all about. For the past few days, photos of him holding up certain source materials to the camera were posted on the Internet.

The pictures seem to indicate which particular comic book story lines will be used when “Daredevil” returns to small screens. It remains unclear precisely how much or how little of the source material will actually be adapted into the Netflix show.

As indicated in the photo that HypnoComics posted on Instagram, the former “The Walking Dead” actor was reading the 2010 issue of "Punisher MAX" and the 1986 issue of “Punisher: Circle of Blood.”

“Jon Bernthal liked the stuff I gave him to read, hooked up again today,” the picture’s caption reads. “He is doing his work! It feels so good to know I am helping my favorite Superhero show in some small way. #punisher #daredevil #netflix #marvel #hype #nerdnews #hypnocomics.”

The graphic publication formerly mentioned, “Punisher Max,” depicts Frank’s reflection about his family as he was placed in solitary confinement amidst a prison riot.

The second one, “Punisher: Circle of Blood,” tells readers about the time when Frank managed to escape out of the prison with the help of Trust. This particular organization serves the purpose of brainwashing criminals in order to make them part of what they refer to as the Punishment Squad. This story also mentions that Castle claims he has already killed Kingpin, which sparks an all-out street violence, as detailed by Latino-Review.

Bernthal also posted a photo of himself holding up a fresh, new copy of the 2009 issue of “Punisher: War Zone” by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon. “The Resurrection of Ma Gnucci” is actually the sequel to another Ennis-Dillon comic story, “Welcome Back, Frank,” where he takes down the matriarch of the Gnucci crime family.

Ma Gnucci, however, manages to survive whatever The Punisher did and returns as a legless and armless stump that only has revenge in mind and sends an army of thugs after Frank. Frank, being the bad*ss vigilante that he is, survives them all.

Bernthal will be joining other members of the “Daredevil” season 2 cast, namely Deborah Ann Woll, Rosario Dawson, Charlie Cox, Elden Henson, and Vincent D’Onofrio.
