Katie Holmes, the ex-wife of "Mission: Impossible" star Tom Cruise, is now renting a property in the Big Apple.

Holmes, who rose to fame via the 1990s teen-flick series created by Kevin Williamson, "Dawson's Creek," is staying at a New York City penthouse for $25,000 per month, the New York Post reported. The outlet said that the 36-year-old actress, who also appeared on "Mania Days" and "Phone Booth," is leasing the luxury property with her equally beautiful daughter, Suri.

The nearly 2,400-square-foot apartment includes three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The Ohio-born star must be enjoying the peaceful ambiance in the New York condominium unit's master bedroom, described to be "Zen inspired," per the listing notes. The bedroom also showcases a spa-like bathroom and a dressing area.

The penthouse also features a fireplace, a private deck showing a landscaped terrace and "lots of open space."

Meanwhile, the spacious chef's kitchen adds charm to the unit. It is adorned with high-end appliances such as a multi-burner range, a double wall oven, and a built-in espresso machine.

In addition, the high-end and expensive apartment is equipped with several systems that can control the unit's temperature, lighting and even the audio through an Apple device.

Aside from its wonderful features, the spacious apartment provides amazing panoramic views of the city, including the area's popular landmarks like the Empire State Building.

The unit is currently owned by an investment banker, who bought the unit from retired Italian racecar driver Mauricio Flammini a decade ago for $2.45 million, according to Variety, citing property records.

Although she is leasing the apartment, Holmes has her own 6,000-square-foot home in Los Angeles, which she bought last year for almost $3.4 million, noted the site. The mansion is located in the private community of Calabasas, the neighborhood where some of the Kardashian sisters and other celebrities also live.
