"American Horror Story: Hotel" is poised to debut in what can only be characterized as the "Year of the Diva Brawls" since actress and supermodel Naomi Campbell signed on to the anthology series.

TVLine broke the news when they found out that Campbell, who recently experienced a character smackdown on "Empire," has already been scheduled to start filming scenes for the show this week.

Season 5 is said to be one of the darkest and bloodiest installments of the series. That being said, Campbell will be checking into the "Hotel" as a fashion editor and may not be checking out -- ever.

Lady Gaga has been the headlining name for the show for its Season 5 debut, which includes series alums Angela Bassett, Matt Bomer, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Denis O'Hare, Finn Wittrock and Lily Rabe. The theme of series, with the pop-divas headlining, will be played upon classic hotel horror that is inherent to many American films. Every season of 'American Horror Story' has taken place in different locations and with different characters.

"Hotel" has been described by creator Ryan Murphy as "much more horror based" and "more dark" than the previous seasons of the show.

"It's... a little bloodier and grislier I think than anything that we've done before. It's straight horror this year," Murphy told TVLine.

It is also expected that Emmy-nominated series regular Paulson could be killed off this season, which has never occurred for any of her characters in previous seasons.

"AHS" alum Lily Rabe will also be returning to the show this season. She took a hiatus from the series last year, but still appeared in a flash-back scene with Pepper. She instead took a part in ABC's "The Whispers," but the fate of that show is still undetermined at this point.

Rabe's character in "Hotel" will be that of a serial killer.
