The "Orange Is the New Black" actress dished to Cosmopolitan about what makes her feel confident and her beauty inspiration, Jennifer Lopez.

The Colombian actress explained how she uses mascara to help her feel confident because it "brightens up your eyes super quick," and previously told Refinary29 that she loves the organic products by Lush.

Guerrero, who plays Maritza on the Netflix hit comedy and Jane's best friend in "Jane The Virgin," also shared the best advice her mother has given her.

"She tells me about Himalayan salt and just scrubbing it all over your body," said the Latina actress. "But that's also a little brujería [witchcraft]. She's like, '¡Sácate ese mal!' [Get rid of the bad!] Most of all, drinking water so your body and skin can stay hydrated."

Like many other Latino celebrities, Guerrero named fellow Latina Jennifer Lopez as one of her favorites when asked whom she looked up to for beauty inspiration.

"I gotta say J. Lo," said the actress. "Every time I go to a photo shoot I'm like, 'Can you make me glow? Can you make me look like I just came out of the shower, but with makeup on?' I don't know how she stays looking so fresh."

The Boston-raised actress, who wrote an op-ed for Los Angeles Times about her struggle with her family's deportation when she was 14, also shared the secret to her success and offered a few words of advice to others looking to achieve their dreams in any career.

"The key is not to give up if you really want it," said Guerrero. "Whether it's a career in the arts, or being a lawyer, whatever it is you just can't quit. I think many times where people fail is they start something and when they see how hard it is, they switch to something else. If you do something, you gotta go all in."
