There have been a lot of buzz lately about an upcoming sequel to the 2012 musical comedy film "Pitch Perfect". It was previously reported that Elizabeth Banks, who played the hilarious commentator Gail, will be directing the second film.

But, what fans of the first film are truly looking forward to is seeing Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson reunite as the Bellas' main members. We can already imagine the wave of "boos" surging forward if these two were not called back for the sequel.

Fortunately for the fans, Universal Pictures had just signed deals and formally announced that Kendrick and Wilson will be reprising their roles for the film's second installment, Deadline reports. Kendrick played the rebellious and cynical Beca with a voice of an angel. Personally, I think her rendition of "No Diggity" in the Riff-Off challenge against the Treblemakers is just awesome.

And of course, Wilson played the fan-favorite and powerhouse Fat Amy (or is it Fat Patricia?), the wisecracking and awkwardly-confident member of the Bellas.

So far, there are no formal announcements yet as to who will be joining Beca and Fat Amy in the second film. But there are a few characters that the sequel really needs to make everything work out, such as Adam DeVine's character Bumper Allen. The last time we saw him, he left the Treblemakers to become John Mayers' back-up singer. It would be interesting to watch how that gig turned out for him. It's also a bonus to see the Workaholics' Adam Dwayne DeMamp interact with people outside of his stoner group.

Lily Okanakamura is also a character they should bring back. Even though it was really hard to hear what she was saying, most of her lines in the film were really hilarious. Maybe a backstory on why she starts fires or eats fetuses could be shown briefly in the sequel. Plus, it would be nice to see more of her beatboxing skills.
