Actress Sofia Vergara is about to attract the attention of Bart Simpson. The Colombian actress has been announced as a special guest in an upcoming episode of season 27 of "The Simpsons."

The episode, titled "Teenage Mutant Milk-Caused Hurdles," will feature Vergara voicing the role of Mrs. Berrera, a teacher who will capture the attention of both Bart and Principal Skinner, reports Entertainment Weekly.

The website tweeted the exclusive news with an image of what Vergara's character looks like, which Vergara retweeted.

Vergara will become the episode's focus after Bart starts drinking bad hormones. Bart begins to experience early puberty, which includes him growing a mustache, and results in him falling for Mrs. Berrera.

"She's more forgiving than Mrs. Krabappel was of Bart," said executive producer Al Jean. "She pays special attention to him."

However, Bart isn't the only one who will have his eye out for Mrs. Berrera. Principal Skinner will also fall for the teacher.

"We thought it'd be interesting if both Bart and Skinner have a crush on the same woman," added Jean. "She feels Skinner is a wounded soul that she wants to take care of. She is a vet like Skinner, and that's his attraction."

According to E! Online, on the show, Bart is currently without a stable teacher since the character of Mrs. Krabappel was retired in 2014 after Marcia Wallace, who voiced the character for 23 years, died in 2013. If Vergara's role is received positively, it could mean an opportunity for more appearances for the 43-year-old.

The new season of "The Simpsons" begins on Sept. 27. Vergara's episode is set to air midway through the season. This won't be the first time Vergara voices a character in a Fox animated series. The actress previously voiced characters on "Family Guy" and "The Cleveland Show."
