The Flappy Bird creator reportedly shot himself in the head and was found dead in his New York apartment, says Huzlers.

The shocking news comes after Nguyen announced that he was taking the frenzied game off app stores, saying that he can no longer take it anymore.

"I can call 'Flappy Bird' is a success of mine. But it also ruins my simple life. So now I hate it," game creator Dong Nguyen tweeted.

"I am sorry 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hours from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down. I cannot take this anymore," Dong Nguyen tweeted February 8.

"It is not anything related to legal issues. I just cannot keep it anymore," Nguyen tried to explain in another tweet.

It seems that the game developer's decision to take Flappy Bird offline has not only created angry individuals who are desperate to try out the newly buzzed-up game but also ones who would go as far as proclaiming him dead online.

As it turns out, news of indie game maker Dong Nguyen committing suicide by putting a bullet through his head over Flappy Bird is a complete hoax, claims Hollywood Life.

A similar report from Yahoo Malaysia points out several things that make the Huzler report intriguing. According to Yahoo Malaysia, the Huzler report claims that Nguyen was found in his New York apartment when in fact, the Flappy Bird creator is known to be Vietnam-based.

Yahoo Malaysia also points out Huzler's disclaimer at the bottom-most part of their website which read, "Huzlers.com is a combination of real shocking news and satire news to keep its visitors in a state of disbelief."

Real shocking news or satire news, it looks like not everyone appreciates the "humor" of proclaiming someone dead.
