Ex Jonas Brothers member, Joe, is paying it forward in terms of dealing with all the pressure that comes with Hollywood fame.

E! Online has caught up with Joe Jonas at the G-Star RAW X Bionic event held in New York City and took the opportunity to ask him regarding life under the limelight. According to E! Online, Joe advises JB and Selena to watch the people surrounding them.

"Something that I heard from someone I looked up to was: 'Watch the people around you and learn from their mistakes so you don't make the same,'" Joe Jonas told E! Online.

"I just held on to that and any time I saw a celebrity I really looked up to screw up, I just was like: 'All right, I am not going to do that or I will try my best to avoid that,' so it's just a learning tool," he added.

Joe Jonas has had his share of fame, being part of the Jonas Brothers with real life brothers Kevin and Nick. The Disney-rooted American pop rock band eventually called it quits after 8 long years.

Although Joe's group has disbanded, the former Disney star has seemingly avoided rehab stints and DUI arrests - thanks to a good old advice he has received from an inspiration.

On the other hand, both Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have allegedly struggled with substance abuse as of late, with the 'Come and Get It' singer secretly entering a rehab center and JB fiddling with the law countless number of times under the influence.

Selena's 2-week rehab trip was reportedly due to Xanax and Ambien abuse though the star's rep claims it was for emotional issues, says a report. JB was also allegedly quite busy smoking marijuana on board a New Jersey-bound flight, filling the whole air vessel with smoke that made the crew resort to oxygen masks, reports NBC News.
