It was recently revealed that Rihanna was "effectively bankrupt" at the end of 2009, due to her accountant's wrong decisions. As a result, the "What Now" singer has filed the legal documents with a lawsuit she filed against her accountant, claiming gross mismanagement.

In new legal papers, Rihanna claims that she had $11 million in cash at the beginning of 2009. However, her accountant was not "on the ball" and the singer was shocked to find out that she only had $2 million left by the end of the year. To make things even worse, her rising expenses, which she claims it doubled last year, left her on a financially dangerous situation.

Rihanna also says that the accountant advised her to buy a house, which was priced between $7 and $7.5 million, but after purchasing the property, she ended up reselling it for a $2 million loss. Furthermore, the "Diamonds" hitmaker complains that her 2009 "Last Girl on Earth" tour was a huge loss of money, and her accountant never approached the singer and raised any concerns with her.

Although she might be dealing with her financial situations, the 26-year-old singer has since rebounded magnificently and her worth is now reported $43 million, not to forget her recent collaboration with Shakira on her single "Can't Remember to Forget You" which has received impressive 110 million views on Vevo. The Barbadian beauty is reportedly working hard on her eighth studio album with producers DJ Mustard, David Guetta, and Nicky Romero as well.

In addition, Rihanna is set to voice Gratuity "Tip" Tucci in Dreamworks' animated alien movie Home, which is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 26.
