Many of professional basketball's best players will hit the floor tonight at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans for the 2014 NBA All-Star Game.

The game comes just a day after John Wall's jaw-dropping dunks helped keep things exciting in the newly formatted Slam Dunk Competition, which resulted in a 2-2 tie. The contest capped off the start of a new chapter in NBA All-Star Game festivities.

The Eastern Conference starters are LeBron James (Miami Heat), Carmelo Anthony (New York Knicks), Dwyane Wade (Miami Heat), Kyrie Irving (Cleveland Cavaliers) and Paul George (Indiana Pacers).

The Western Conference players who'll be inbounds during the opening tip-off are Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunder), Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), James Harden (Houston Rockets), Blake Griffin (Los Angeles Clippers) and Kevin Love (Minnesota Timberwolves).

Once substitutions come into play, neither squad will suffer much of a drop-off in talent. The Eastern Conference reserves are Joakim Noah (Chicago Bulls), Roy Hibbert (Indiana Pacers), Chris Bosh (Miami Heat), Paul Millsap (Atlanta Hawks), John Wall (Washington Wizards), Joe Johnson (Brooklyn Nets) and DeMar DeRozan (Toronto Raptors).

Dwight Howard (Houston Rockets), LaMarcus Aldridge (Portland Trail Blazers), Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas Mavericks), Chris Paul (Los Angeles Clippers), Tony Parker (San Antonio Spurs), Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers) and Anthony Davis (New Orleans Pelicans) will be coming off of the bench for the Western Conference.

The coaches of the Eastern Conference and Western Conference are Frank Vogel (Indiana Pacers) and Scott Brooks (Oklahoma City Thunder) respectively.

Entering tonight's NBA All-Star showdown, the Eastern Conference holds a 36-26 head-to-head edge over its western counterpart.

Tonight's matchup, which marks the NBA's 63rd All-Star Game, tips off at 8 p.m. ET.
