Ricky Martin wrote an op-ed about GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump, urging Latinos to not support the candidate who vows to deport 11 million undocumented immigrants should he win the White House.

"The fact that a person like Donald Trump, a candidate for the U.S. presidency for the Republican Party, has the gall to continue to freely harass the Latino community day after day makes my blood boil," Martin wrote for Univsion Noticias, which was also translated to English.

Martin went on to detail the incident between Trump and Univision journalist Jorge Ramos, who was temporarily kicked out of the candidate's press conference in Iowa for asking questions regarding Trump's mass deportation agenda.

"Xenophobia is the lowest form of political strategy," the Latino singer said, regarding Trump's ideas of undocumented immigrants and his vow to kick them out of America.

Trump called undocumented Mexican immigrants "rapists" and "killers" during his launch for his GOP presidential campaign. He also says that he plans to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico to "keep illegals out."

"We have to stop the power that Trump feels he has over Latinos, and the xenophobic speech that he and his campaign team seem to be convinced will be successful," Martin wrote as Trump continues to climb in the polls.

The Puerto Rican star implies that Latinos should not support Trump's campaign, or the false comments he makes about immigrants.

"I am not surprised Trump would aim so low," the singer said. "I am surprised that we Hispanics continue to accept these aggressions and accusations by individuals like Trump who continue to attack our dignity."

The "La Vida Loca" singer went on to say that Latinos deserve more respect than Trump is trying to give them. Martin also stated that thousands of Latino immigrants paved the way for people in the U.S. today.

Will the star's message get across? Or will he only be heard by the people who already do not support the billionaire business mogul?
