Bill Murray stars and headlines the new comical war film that involves the music industry and a talented female singer in Afghanistan. The film, "Rock the Kasbah," is the one that officially puts Murray back on the headlining charts for comical movies this millennium, according to Deadline.

Just picture Murray as a washed up music industry talent scout, coupled with the exploits of a mercenary played by Bruce Willis, a hooker played by Kate Hudson, and a spoiled singer played by Zooey Deschanel. You get the most comical version of a Murray film you haven't seen in years. Now just add in a little Danny McBride and Scott Caan, and you have a recipe for gut-wrenching laughs.

Murray plays Richie Lanz, a music manager whose best days are behind him. When his one high profile client (Deschanel) leaves him stranded in Afghanistan, for reasons unknown, he discovers the amazing talent of a young Afghani woman, who will be killed if she takes to the microphone with her talents.

In his mind, it is a mild obstacle to overcome. He needs to get her on a talent show of some kind, and the Afghan version of American Idol will not let her sing - and live to tell about it.

That's when he comes in contact with Willis and McBride, who are war profiteers, and they join in on his quest to get her to the stage, one way or another, for worldwide stardom.

Lanz views this as an opportunity to get back into the game with a new high-profile talent, who will make him a ton of money and a proud manager once again.

The film will officially hit theaters just before Halloween on Oct. 23.

Fans of Murray's earlier works will love to see his classic persona revived for this hilarious new film. Check out the trailer for the film below.
