The collaborative and communal mentality of Latinos shines when people make contributions to commendable causes that help to fuel innovation, strengthen the youth, and embolden the community at large.

Non-Latino celebrities such as Kelly Clarkson, Angelina Jolie, Sting, Sigourney Weaver, and Robert Duvall continually work to improve conditions for Hispanics in the U.S. and abroad, but there are also countless Latino American celebrities, charities and champions that work tirelessly for the betterment of la raza.

The Chavez actress Rosario Dawson, co-founder of Voto Latino, is also a great contributor to charities and programs that uplift the Latino community. Her work with Voto Latino pushes for the empowerment of Latino voters by organizing campaigns to engage youth and the entire Latino population through media and technology. Dawson also throws her support behind DoSomething.org, Human Rights Watch, Peace Over Violence and numerous others.
