Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka will take the spotlight on Day 4 of the 2015 US Open Tennis on Thursday at Flushing Meadows in New York.

Federer, the second seed in the men's draw this year, will face unseeded Steve Darcis of Belgium in the second round at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

The 17-time Grand Slam champion kicked off his campaign with an impressive 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 win over Leonardo Mayer of Argentina, proving why he is considered as one of the strongest contenders for the title this year despite failing to win a Grand Slam since ruling the 2012 Wimbledon.

On the other hand, Darcis earned a spot in the second round after first-round opponent Marcos Baghdatis failed to continue during the fourth set of their match, which ended 6-7, 6-3, 6-2, 3-1.

Andy Murray, who won the tournament in 2012, will also see action on Tuesday at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The third-seeded Briton will go up against Adrian Mannarino of France.

Murray displayed tremendous composure during his tournament opener, as he managed to stay focused against Nick Kyrgios of Australia, who made headlines with his antics again during their first-round match. The 28-year-old moved on to the second round with a 7-5, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 win.

Fifth seed Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland, who is also eyeing his third Grand Slam title like Murray, will also take court on Thursday against Hyeon Chung of Korea at Louis Armstrong Stadium.

Wawrinka, whose best finish at Flushing Meadows came in 2013 when he played in the semifinals, was pushed to the limit in the first round before escaping with a 7-5, 6-4, 7-6 win against Albert Ramos-Vinolas of Spain.

In the women's side, second seed Simona Halep of Romania will collide with Kateryna Bondarenko of Ukraine, while fourth seed Caroline Wozniacki will face Petra Cetkovska of Czech Republic.

Fifth seed Petra Kvitova of Czech Republic will also try to advance to the third round, when she goes up against local bet Nicole Gibbs. Sara Errani of Italy, the 16th seed in the women's draw, will face Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia.
