"Empire" Season 2 is coming back to Fox this month as fans are anticipating the next season filled with drama, love and music.

According to TVLine, the first photos from the next season have been released revealing that Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) will spend some time sitting in a court room.

New guests stars has been added to the list as well such as CNN's Don Lemon.

Will she continue to stick by her ex-husband's side? Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) is in jail for killing Cookie's cousin, but the star witness is dead. Will Cookie tell the court that she doesn't think Lucious killed her family member even though she knows the truth?

In the Season 1 finale, it seems like Cookie's son Jamal (Jussie Smollett) believes that she set Lucious up. Will Jamal find out that his mother would never betray his father like that? Maybe he won't even notice while he is currently running the family's Empire that was given to him by his father.

Yet, Cookie wants the whole family to own Empire including herself and her two other sons Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Grey) and Andre (Trai Byers).

We know that Cookie is teaming up with her sons and Lucious' ex-girlfriend Boo Boo Kitty (Grace Gealey) in order to get hold of the business. Does Cookie have the right things in mind? Or is she just as power hungry as her ex-husband?

Will Lucious get out of jail soon to take over Empire?

It has been reported that Lucious' character would be scaled back in the next season because of Howard's personal issues with his ex-wives, but the rumors have been shot down.

"Rumors that Terrence's role in 'Empire' will be scaled back are patently untrue, as audiences will see when the series returns Wednesday, Sept. 23 on Fox," a Fox rep said in a statement to Access Hollywood.

Other guest stars featured in the next season include Mariah Carey, Pitbull, Chris Rock, Kelly Rowland, Marisa Tomei, Ludacris, Adam Rodriguez and more.
