The Dallas Cowboys have lost Dez Bryant for at least a month, maybe more because of a broken foot. Playing without arguably the best wide out in the NFL won't be easy, so others such as Terrance Williams and Cole Beasley will have to step up their game.

Cowboys management can also look at the free agent market fort temporary relief. Here are five free agent wide receivers the Cowboys could consider signing.

1. Hakeem Nicks

The Tennessee Titans signed Hakeem Nicks this offseason, but parted ways not long ago to clear up a roster spot. According to ESPN, the Cowboys have brought in Nicks for a workout already. Nicks made his mark with the New York Giants helping the team win a Super Bowl in the 2011-12 season. Nicks has multiple 1,000 yard seasons, and he did have four touchdown grabs last season with the Indianapolis Colts. Despite not having elite speed, Nicks still has experience and he is an outstanding route runner.

2. Reggie Wayne

Last month Reggie Wayne signed with the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots, but that didn't last long. Wayne didn't like the practices there, and asked to be released. He got what he wanted, and now one of the best wide receivers of the 21st century is an unrestricted free agent. Wayne may be 36 years old, but he still had 779 receiving yards last season for the Colts. Wayne could be a nice temporary fix for the next month because he is a future Hall of Famer, and he has exceptional catching skills.

3. Wes Welker

This is a bit of a risk considering his past health issues, but Wes Welker is the best at what he does. He definitely won't replace Bryant's greatness and the ability to stretch the field on the outside, but the Cowboys could get him for a low price. Like Nicks, Welker has a lot of playoff experience. Welker has played in three Super Bowls with two different teams, and still remains a free agent. Welker can also return punts. It would be interesting to see Welker play in the NFC as he has played his entire career in the AFC.

4. Santana Moss

The Cowboys may have a heated rivalry with the Washington Redskins, but they could find a little gem in free agency in Santana Moss. Moss has never played for a top quality quarterback in his 14-year-career, but if the Cowboys were to ink a one year deal with him, that would certainly change things. Moss has recorded four 1,000 yard seasons in his underrated career. The 36-year-old wide out also has 66 career touchdowns. The Cowboys just might able to revive his career.

5. Brandon Lloyd

Brandon Lloyd is a journeyman. He has played for the Patriots, Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers, Redskins, Chicago Bears and St. Louis Rams. In 2010 he led the entire NFL with 1,448 receiving yards and had 11 touchdown grabs. In 2012 he had 911 receiving yards with the Patriots. Lloyd is used to switching teams quite a bit, so joining the Cowboys on a one year deal wouldn't be anything new to him. Lloyd isn't the greatest rout runner, but he does have that down the field speed ability that is needed without Bryant.
