A New York man recorded a strange object that seemed to change shapes as it flew through the sky, Express reports.

Tony Shea was awakened by a strange dream in the early morning. Around 5 a.m. he said he detected a "presence" around him. Shea has his own website that is dedicated to space and paranormal activities called Shea Magazine.

"I got up this morning at about 2 am, awoken by a strange dream," he said.

"Somewhere around 5 am I noticed that there was a strange round object in the sky. I thought at first it was the reflection of my computer off the window," he continued.

"But then something else strange happened, I felt an odd presence watching me somehow, like a beam coming through the window, and then I grabbed a camera and started recording."

He then said he saw a weird shape in the sky that kept changing. At first it was a flaming ball, then a fiery triangle, then a planet or molecule, an angular shape and a jellyfish. He also says it looked like a puffer fish at one point or cells under a microscope.

"Now I'm sure the scientists among you will provide me with whatever reasonable explanation there is, provided that meteors, or distant planets, or nuclear explosions in space can be thought of as reasonable," he said.

"I myself was somewhat sleep deprived and looked upon whatever phenomenon was occurring with a sense of mystical appreciation and wonder."

Shea admitted that the shape he saw could have been the planet Venus because this month Venus, Mars and Jupiter are all visible in the eastern skies.

"Perhaps it is a star, and this is what a nuclear explosion in space looks like, which also might make sense. Maybe it's a meteor flying though space," he said.

But Shea says the weird thing about the object is that it changes shapes.

"It does look a planet, for a while at least. And then it changes, becomes more liquid, becomes more fiery, seems to breathe and change shape, and does appear to be burning, and sort of beating like heart."

Some viewers discounted Shea's video clip as just an optical illusion in his camera. They say it is Venus, and because the planet is very bright this month in the eastern sky, especially in the morning, Shea is seeing it through his lens.

Scott Waring, a UFO follower who runs the website UFO Sightings Daily, is very intrigued by Shea's footage.

"These shape shifting UFO are seen around the world, but most often around July and August of every year. They are marked by the bumps on them that change positions and by the microbe-like appearance. They are most often mistaken for stars, but when you look through a camera, they are never just round."

Waring said because Shea said he felt a presence surrounding him, his footage is even more believable.

"This is a living entity that is observing the people below. What a remarkable sighting," Waring said.
