Foo Fighters' lead Singer Dave Grohl is saying goodbye to his retreat estate.

Grohl, the 46-year-old rock musician, is selling his Oxnard beach home for nearly $3 million, Los Angeles Times reported. The popular singer-songwriter and former drummer of the Nirvana band bought the abode nearly a decade ago for almost $3.8 million, which is more than its actual selling price now, noted the news outlet, citing public records. Grohl commissioned Buki Burke of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties to handle the listing of the property.

The Ohio-born music artist's almost 3,100-square-foot retreat house features four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The Oxnard residence also displays an exquisite kitchen, a living room, a dining room and a four-car garage.

The next owners may comfortably relax in the fireplace-equipped master suite that comes with its private balcony, which offers ocean views.

The interior boasts vaulted beam ceilings that create an airy ambiance and an outdoor-indoor experience via picturesque water views available from the living areas. The abode resting on Mandalay Beach's sand was built in 2005 and also features an open floor plan, noted its listing on Realtor.com.

The Neo-Classical three-story property described as a "casually elegant beach home" by the real estate site also displays a dramatic staircase and "professional designed lighting."

Outdoors, the dwelling place is adorned with palm trees that add to a tropical vibe, but more importantly, the beachfront home has immediate access to the sand and seawater paradise in Oxnard.

A Committed Dad

The cool rock star is also a devoted and hands-on father to his three daughters: Violet, nine, Harper, five, and Ophelia, one, as noted by Mail Online.

Like most doting parents, he helps them to prepare for school and braves the heavy traffic every time to drive them safely to class, as seen on his interview with Ellen DeGeneres on her TV show.

Dubbed as "The Nicest Man in Rock," the Foo Fighters' frontman, who reportedly celebrated the band's 20th anniversary of its first released album, shared on The Telegraph in 2012 how his kids make him feel so loved as well.

"I love everything about my job, except being away from the kids. This (a chunky gold ring with his initials on it), the day I was leaving, my daughter said, 'Daddy, I want you to wear this. And every time you miss me, look at this ring and just know that I love you so much.' She's not even five! I was blown away," Grohl said.
