Derrick Rose insists the ex-girlfriend now accusing him and two of his friends of gang rape consented to group sex on the night now in dispute.

TMZ reports in recently released court documents the Chicago Bulls star guard claims not only is his accuser lying about being assaulted but only became upset after she was not promptly reimbursed for one of the sex toys they used that night.

In addition, Rose charges the woman had previously consented to such relations and, on the night she claims she was abused, actually buzzed him and his friends into her apartment. So normal were their actions, the youngest MVP in NBA history added the next morning the woman casually sipped coffee with her roommate before going off to work a full day's shift.

At some point after not reimbursing her, Rose adds he started ignoring the woman's text messages, infuriating her all the more. She is now seeking unspecified damages in her suit.

During the Bulls media day to mark the opening of training camp earlier this week, the 26-year-old Rose told reporters he refuses to allow the incident to force him to change his lifestyle.

"The story was false," he said.

"I don't think I have to alter anything. I live my life the way I live my life. I live in the moment and I enjoy life. I can't let that one incident that's not true affect the way that I live, and I'm not going to let it. I love my life, actually, so I can't complain about anything."

Rose added he spent his summer with near tunnel vision, focusing on just family and basketball in hopes of once again rising to his 2011 MVP level. After missing back to back seasons with knee injuries, Rose averaged 18 points, five assists and three rebounds in 51 regular-season games.
