A new promo video gives "Arrow" fans another glimpse of what to expect from villain Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), as he tries to take over Star City and destroy the Arrow in Season 4. Plus, the show's executive producer dropped spoilers about how Felicity (Emily Rickards) will react when her former lover Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) comes back into the picture.

It seemed safe to presume that Ray died following an explosion at the end of Season 3. To honor his bravery and courage, Starling City was renamed Star City. However, according to CarterMatt, Routh's character will make a comeback sometime in the new season, since he has been cast to play The Atom in the upcoming "Legends of Tomorrow."

Speaking to TVLine, executive producer Wendy Mericle revealed that Ray's resurrection will be a "huge emotional reveal, especially for Felicity." However, the showrunner warned that Felicity's reaction won't be based on the romantic connection that the two once shared.

"It's more of an emotional reaction to the loss of a friend than any sort of romantic rival," the EP teased. "She's very happy with Oliver when we come back in Season 4, but [she and Ray] were friends and they left on good terms. It's more just the relief of, 'Oh my gosh, I thought you were gone and now you're not. How exciting is that?'"

TVLine also reports that Felicity will become the new CEO of Ray's company, Palmer Tech, in the new season.

A new video promo also previews this season's big bad Damien Darhk. Not only will Damien seek to destroy Star City and go after Oliver (Stephen Amell), but he is not afraid of being in the public eye.

The new teaser trailer shows Felicity with the machine, Diggle (David Ramsey) in his new high-tech motorcycle-like helmet, and quick shots of Laurel (Katie Cassidy) as Black Canary and Thea (Willa Holland) as Speedy. The most ominous part of the trailer, however, is a voiceover that says, "The monster you were inspired monsters," and, "I suggest you say goodbye."

"Arrow" Season 4 will premiere on Oct. 7.
