Amanda Seyfried and Justin Long have decided to call it quits after two years of dating.

The "Ted 2" actress and "New Girl" actor supposedly split a couple of weeks ago.

"It happened a few weeks ago," a source close to the couple revealed in the new issue of US Weekly. "He's really heartbroken."

Back in May, the 29-year-old actress hinted that the pair might be having trouble in an interview with Vogue.

"Making movies is two solid months of 12-, 14-hour days. I mean, it can ruin your relationship," Seyfried said.

"They had different schedules and different lives," a source said. "They just grew apart."

The couple, who shared a $1.9 million penthouse apartment in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York, began dating after Seyfried saw an Instagram post of Long's that made her laugh.

"I thought something he said was really funny," she said. "It was a beautiful picture of a snail, and the caption said, 'F------g MOOOOOOOOVE.' It made me laugh out loud, so I texted him."

During an appearance on "The Today Show," the 37-year-old actor mentioned how the two were "in it for the long haul."

Before committing to Long, Seyfried previously dated "Dexter" actor Desmond Harrington, Ryan Phillippe and Dominic Cooper. Long has been linked in the past with actresses Drew Barrymore and Kate Mara.

Seyfried is currently shooting for a reboot of the television show "Twin Peaks." Her role on the revival series has not been revealed yet. Seyfried's last appeared on TV was in HBO's "Big Love," which ended its run in 2011. Before that gig, she also appeared in television roles on "Veronica Mars," "Wildfire," "All My Children" and "As the World Turns."

Long will be appearing in the upcoming films "Yoga Hosers" and "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip."
