International Boxing Federation welterweight champion Kell Brook hits back at World Boxing Council Silver title holder Amir Khan with an invitation to face him in a battle that he feels will end "King Khan's" boxing career.

Brook posts his challenge to his fellow British boxer, through Twitter.

The "Special K's" post is said to be in response to Khan's recent criticisms thrown at him on Sky Sports. Although Khan thinks their fight may still happen next year, he maintained his position that Brook must still fight worthy opponents. Khan is also not impressed with Brook's choice of Diego Chaves, whom the undefeated boxer will collide on Oct. 24 at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield, England, per The Ring Magazine.

"I did say it could happen next year, so in 2016 I think Kell will get that fight," Khan said to Sky Sports.

"But I've always said about the opponents he's fighting and now it's a guy which I don't know much about, but he's lost [not won] three of his last four fights and that says something," added "King Khan."

Khan even advised that Brook must take a page out of his book and "step up his game" and fight top boxers like Timothy Bradley and Marcos Maidana.

This has already been an issue between the two U.K.-born fighters. Brook's camp, through his promoter Eddie Hearn, has always been wanting for a Khan-Brook showdown to please all their fans in the U.K. When Floyd Mayweather Jr., whom Khan is waiting to fight, chose Andre Berto as his final opponent in a battle held in MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on Sept. 12, the IBF king found this as his chance to finally get a shot against Khan, a separate Sky Sports article noted.

Khan met with Brook's adviser and stated that he is willing to fight Brook in 2016 if he will do his part to win against high-caliber foes, too, before they clash, The National announced. For Khan, this will create their upcoming battle more exciting.

Meanwhile, Khan is anticipating a fight with eight-division world champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao next year, another report from Sky Sports informed. Although Pacquiao's promoter, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum stated that he is not the frontrunner among all contenders, per Boxing Scene, it seems he has a good chance. Khan is also reportedly looking for a possible rematch with former boxing titleholder Danny Garcia, who defeated him via a fourth round knockout loss in 2012, per BoxRec.
