Although they've been at it for weeks now, this is no time for the "Dancing with the Stars" competitors to feel comfortable. It's time for the switch-up challenge, and all of the stars and pros will need to adjust to different partners for the week ahead.

According to a report from E! Online, the new partnerships for the upcoming episode are as follows: Bindi Irwin and Val Chmerkovskiy, Nick Carter and Witney Carson, Hayes Grier and Allison Holker, Paula Deen and Mark Ballas, Carlos PenaVega and Lindsay Arnold, Alek Skarlatos and Emma Slater, Alexa PenaVega and Derek Hough, Tamar Braxton and Louis Van Amstel and Andy Grammer and Sharna Burgess.

A big part of the competition is the connection between the celebrity and the pro dancer, which they have spent the past few weeks developing. There's bound to be pairs, who will struggle, including the lowest-ranked contestant right now, Deen, who hasn't wowed the judges and audience so far. Hopefully, new partner Ballas will fire up the television personality for next week's routine.

Meanwhile, Ballas' partner, the fairer PenaVega, is one of the frontrunners of the dance competition. Her new partner, fan favorite Hough, might propel her even further with his experience in the show.

Irwin, who has so far been a top performer every week, will have to fare without her close friend and partner Hough. She will be well taken care of , though, with the reigning champion Chmerkovskiy teaching her this week.

In the previous episode, Grier surprised the judges with a stunning contemporary performance set to his friend Shawn Mendes' "Stitches.". His break-out dance with Slater earned him his highest score so far, but the upcoming week is set to present new challenges to the teenager as he navigates the stage with a brand new partner. He'll be coupling up with soon-to-be new mom Holker.

In his blog in Access Hollywood, Grier addressed the upcoming week, saying, "This week is Switch-Up Week and I've been partnered with Allison Holker. It won't be the same without Emma but, I'm up for the challenge!"

Popular pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy will also be returning to the show to sit at the judge's table as a guest, according to a report from ABC News. Chmerkovskiy has been a pro on the show since the second season, but has revealed that he won't be competing on the show again in an interview with Glamour Magazine.

The next "Dancing with the Stars" episode will air on Monday, Oct. 12.
