Netflix has officially released the trailer for Season 2 of the highly successful Marvel series "Daredevil."

According to Deadline, the trailer premiered this week at New York Comic Con, giving fans of the series their first dose of some exciting new characters, including the Punisher (Jon Bernthal of "The Walking Dead") and Elektra (Elodie Yung).

The trailer was an exciting mix of new scenes from Season 2 and few rehash scenes of Season 1 that got the audience primed for much more.

Bernthal graced the screen with a casual walk down a hospital hallway and appeared to say the word "Bang." Yung was also in action after she was seen putting on her mask and eventually unveiling her "sweeter" side.

The explosive trailer kicked off with a series of action filled scenes that put the two new characters into the extraordinary action that has long been expected for the sophomore season of Netflix's most successful show to date.

Of course Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), aka Daredevil, was present for the new action scenes with his own blend of plentiful justice being etched out on the screen.

Although there were some shots with series regulars Rosario Dawson, Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll, they were only vaguely touched upon in the trailer.

Dawson has been quite a busy girl with her character making the crossover in the other three shows coming to Netflix, the first of which is going to be "Jessica Jones" in November.

The exciting trailer was thrilling to say the least. But it was quick and not what fans would consider a full-length tease for the season. That may due in part to the show still being several months away with a premiere date set for sometime in 2016.
