Sam Smith recently earned two Guinness World Records, which he can now add to his list of other prestigious awards.

The 23-year-old British singer's theme song "Writing's On the Wall" for the new James Bond film "Spectre" is the first song in the franchise's history to reach No. 1 in the U.K., according to the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, his debut album "In The Lonely Hour" has remained in the U.K. Top 10 Albums Chart for 69 straight weeks. The longevity of Smith's album means he broke Emeli Sandé's previous record, which saw her album "Our Version of Events" on the U.K. Albums Chart for 63 weeks.

"This is so amazing! It's such an honor to be recognized by Guinness World Records," Smith said. "It's been an unbelievable 18 months -- the album exceeded even my wildest dreams thanks to the incredible support of my fans, and to record the first ever Bond theme to reach No 1 in the U.K. is a real privilege."

Smith released his debut album on May 26, 2014. The album produced numerous singles, including "Lay Me Down," "Money on My Mind," "Stay with Me," "I'm Not the Only One" and "Like I Can."

"Sam Smith has had an incredible impact on the music industry since his debut album first hit the charts last year and the longevity of its stay is truly astonishing," Guinness World Records editor-in-chief Craig Glenday said.

The singer recently announced the deluxe reissue of his debut album, which is titled "In The Lonely Hour: The Drowning Shadows Edition," which is due out Nov. 6. It will feature the new song "Drowning Shadows," written by Smith and Fraser T. Smith. There will also be covers, such as Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know?" and Amy Winehouse's "Love Is a Losing Game," included on the new disc.
