A conservative group called the Parents Television Council has taken aim at two shows by creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk -- "Scream Queens" and "American Horror Story: Hotel."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the PTC group, headed by president Tim Winter, is calling for an advertiser boycott of the shows following the premiere episode of "AHS: Hotel" this last week on FX. He described the scenes that he found most offensive in an email he sent to supporters and subscribers of his group.

"This is the most vile and shocking content I've ever seen on TV. Ever," Winter wrote in the email. "Most Americans have no idea this is prime-time fare on advertiser-supported basic cable. And everyone is paying for it as part of their program bundle."

The "AHS" premiere did feature some graphic content, which showed Lady Gaga (in her acting debut) having a foursome sex scene along with fellow star Matt Bomer and another couple. The scene was heavily graphic, saturated in sexually explicit material and equal amounts of horror and gore.

The premiere also had a scene where a man was raped by a creature that donned a spiked sex toy around his genitalia region. The man being raped had just injected drugs into his arm and the scene seemed to play heavily on the rape/drugs theme.

Their boycott seemed to single out Subway for advertising during the show, calling for them to spend their advertising dollars "in a more responsible fashion."

Winter also zeroed in on their other show, "Scream Queens," which is on Fox and rated TV-14 and means it was appropriate for people 14 and older.

"In spite of this [rating], the program features graphic decapitations and discussions of necrophilia in the family hour, all sponsored by McDonalds," the email said.

It is unclear at this time why the group has singled out two shows on different networks that were coincidentally created by the same two people. There are other shows on television that are equally explicit, but they made no mention of them in the email.
