The waiver wire is absolutely critical for Fantasy Football owners everywhere. Staying on top of free agency can make or break your team every week. Disappointing play and injuries often lead to Fantasy Football owners checking their waiver wire to help aid their roster week in and week out.

Here are five players you should consider singing off the waiver wire this week.

1. Orleans Darkwa

Where did this guy come from? I guess it doesn't really matter. Orleans Darkwa had the single best game of his career with 48 rushing yards and a touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. The undrafted running back entered that game with just 23 rushing yards in his young career. With Arian Foster out for the season, it may be time to take a chance on this 23-year-old back. To make things even better, the Giants take on the pathetic New Orleans Saints 28th ranked run defense next week. Maybe Tom Coughlin will give Darkwa some more touches next week. He's definitely available in your league.

2. Jordan Reed

How surprising is this? According to NFL.com, Jordan Reed is only owned by 14.1 percent of Fantasy Football owners. Reed had a big game last week with two touchdown grabs against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, including one on a last minute game-winning drive. Kirk Cousins appears to have a great relationship with his tight ends, so Reed will more than likely continue to get his looks down the road. Reed has almost eclipsed last year's production already. Bottom line, if you're having tight end issues, check your waiver wire for Reed.

3. Cole Beasley

Desperate times call for desperate measures. There are so many injured and hurting wide receivers out there it might be time to give Cole Beasley a chance. Beasley had the key drop on special teams against the Giants, but Matt Cassel is going to have to target him next week. The Cowboys take on the Seattle Seahawks next week, and it's unlikely Richard Sherman and that secondary will allow anything deep. Jason Garrett has to start implementing more plays in which Beasley runs short routes and catches passes in the slot area.

4. Ryan Fitzpatrick

Ryan Fitzpatrick isn't an elite quarterback by an means, but he is putting up some quality numbers. Plus, let's face it, there've been some big disappointments among quarterbacks. Peyton Manning isn't playing great, Tony Romo is out, and Andrew Luck is a turnover machine. Might be time to give Fitzpatrick a shot this week. It's a great time as he will be facing the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders have allowed the most passing yards in the entire NFL this season. Fitzpatrick actually has 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions this season, which is better than both Luck and Manning. Who would have thought?

5. Eric Ebron

The former first round pick is starting to find his groove with the Detroit Lions. He already has more receiving yards and touchdowns than he did all of last season. Ebron had a great game last week against the Minnesota Vikings with 89 yards and a touchdown grab. The Lions are a terrible team, and terrible teams are often losing early in games. That means Matthew Stafford will be throwing a lot considering the Lions are playing from behind so much. Ebron faces the Kansas City Chiefs next week, who rank 28th in passing touchdowns allowed.
