Caroline Flack recently revealed a surprising revelation about her relationship with Olly Murs during the first live show for "X-Factor UK" after the fellow hosts were asked to kiss on stage in front of the camera.

Caroline dished some details about the real status of her relationship with Olly in an interview with MailOnline's You magazine. When asked if she and Olly are an item, the 35-year old did not actually give a direct yes or no reply. Instead, she said their relationship goes farther than mere friendship.

"Me and Olly have a lovely relationship. It's a weird chemistry. We have this innate understanding of one another -- we don't fancy each other and yet we don't not fancy each other. We're not girlfriend and boyfriend, yet we're not totally platonic either," she said.

Caroline and Olly certainly have a close bond with each other. She reportedly once gave an ultimatum about hosting the "X-Factor UK." According to MailOnline, Caroline insisted that she would only host the music show if she was partnered with Olly. She told MailOnline that she was "only ever going to do it if Olly was doing it too."

Caroline's confession came after she and Olly played up to rumors of their romance on the "X-Factor UK" stage during Sunday's show. In the video below, the pair is seen walking from either side of the stage and they meet in the middle before they purposely lean towards each other as if to kiss. According to YouTube user Top Celebs, the pair instantly pulled away laughing. They were certainly poking fun at the rumors.

On Sunday Caroline professed her affection for Olly on social media. She shared an Instagram photo of her birthday surprise from her "X-Factor UK" host and captioned it, "Olly Murs officially buys THE BEST birthday presents ... Love you ols... Thank you," and added four heart emojis. The "Kiss Me" singer on the other hand took to his Twitter page to greet Caroline on her special day.

The pair has been rumored to be dating ever since Olly's recent split from his long-time girlfriend Francesca Thomas. Caroline has also recently broken up with her on-again-off-again boyfriend Jack Street.

In the same interview with You magazine, Caroline also talked about her split from Street. She recalled how she would break down every two seconds and how the breakup sapped all her energy.

"Suddenly I didn't want to be at rehearsals, I wanted to be at home with my mates, glass of wine in hand, ranting away about 'When he did this' or 'When he did that,'" she said.
