Mariah Carey is reportedly set to voice Commissioner Gordon in "The Lego Batman Movie."

The 45-year-old singer is in talks to voice Gotham's police chief, who is normally played by a male, according to NME.

In the past, Gary Oldman played the role of Commissioner Gordon in Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight" trilogy. Benjamin McKenzie currently takes on the role in the "Batman" prequel Fox series "Gotham."

Additional cast members who have joined the film's lineup include Will Arnett, who will reprise his role as Batman from "The Lego Movie," Michael Cera, who will play Robin, and Rosario Dawson, who will take over the role of Batgirl.

Ralph Fiennes is also set to play Batman's butler Albert Pennyworth, while Zach Galifianakis will play the Joker, according to Deadline.

Chris McKay, who was the animation supervisor for "The Lego Movie," will direct the upcoming film. Producers for the movie include Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Dan Lin and Roy Lee.

Other future movies planned for the franchise include "Ninjago," a ninja-themed spin-off due out on Sept. 22, 2017, and "The Lego Movie Sequel," slated for May 8, 2018.

Carey was last seen on the silver screen as Hattie Pearl in Lee Daniels' "The Butler" in 2013. Before that, she starred in "Precious," also directed by Daniels, as social worker Ms. Weiss in 2009.

The singer is also gearing up to star in her new Hallmark holiday film, "A Christmas Melody." Carey, who will play the role of the "b*tchy PTA mom," will also be directing the film, which stars Lacey Chabert, Brennan Elliott and Kathy Najimy. The film premieres on the Hallmark channel on Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. ET.

"The Lego Batman Movie" is scheduled for release on Feb. 10, 2017. Last year, "The Lego Movie" made $468 million worldwide at the box office.
