The tragic loss of Paul Walker last November cast doubt on the release date of the latest sequel to the Fast & Furious movie series, Fast & Furious 7. However, it has been confirmed that the cast and crew will be in Dubai to resume shooting by the end of March.

Although there have been several changes made to the movie script after the loss of its star, the film is expected to be released on April 10, 2015, as confirmed by Universal Studios.

Walker's co-star, Vin Diesel, as well as Michelle Rodriguez, Kurt Russell, Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson will all return to reprise their roles. Brian O'Conner, Walker's character, will be retired in this sequel.

According to reliable sources, aside from the rewrites, the production team has hired four actors. All of them have bodies that are similar to Paul Walker's build, which will be used as a base for movement. CGI will be used on top for Paul's voice and face. The latest insider news reports corroborate the theory that Paul's brother will be hired as a stand-in so that the movie will be finished in time. The same method was used on The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, which lost Philip Seymour Hoffman before filming ended.

Diesel is regularly posting short updates about the film on his Facebook page. He said that this latest sequel has a collective goal: to make Fast & Furious 7 the best film in the series.

Apparently, 85 percent of the movie with Walker in it had been completed before the actor's tragic loss. Co-star Tyrese Gibson also commented that fans will still see Paul Walker in the upcoming film. He said the movie will bring closure to both Brian O'Conner and Walker.

Director James Wan and writers Jeffrey Kirschenbaum and Chris Morgan have come up with a plan to tweak the script to have Walker remain in the story and later written out so that the franchise will be able to continue without the actor.
