Music producer Metro Boomin and rapper Young Thug had been in a series of fiery Twitter exchanges in the past few days, sparking up a social media war. Metro Boomin had been speculated to be throwing diss at Young Thug comparing him to yet another rapper, Future.

Both Future and Young Thug almost have the same kind of listeners and both artists have recently released several mix tapes and new tracks. And in light of that, Metro Boomin, one of the producers of Future's music, wrote several posts on Twitter that got Young Thug's attention.

"Everyday I wake up, new mixtapes are falling out of the sky.. I think we all know where the trend came from lol," the Twitter account of Metro Boomin wrote earlier this week.

"And for all you internet [expletive] who like to tweet like you know everything, I'm not saying he's the first to do it," Metro Boomin again posted on Twitter, which the Independent speculates to be a post referring to Future.

To make the producer's point clearer, Metro Boomin posted on Twitter: "All I'm saying is, I wish that everyone would put out more quality music over the quantity. It's a marathon, not a sprint."

However, without mentioning any names, Young Thug, who has apparently released numerous mix tapes in the past months just like Future, wrote on Twitter, "Hey @MetroBoomin who u referring to ????" Young Thug even tagged Metro Boomin.

Again, the rapper didn't seem to be satisfied with his post, adding writing another tweet saying, "Put some names on that shit lil boy @MetroBoomin." Young Thug also added, "A [expletive] music couldn't ever sound nowhere near mines.... ((IM MICHEAL)) he's ((TITO))."

Finally, Metro Boomin replied on Twitter, saying, "You gotta be crazy if you think I subtweeted Thug. That's corny. People are allowed to believe what they want though. True or not."

The social media exchanges went on and on; however, it all ended up with Young Thug stating how much he admired Future.

"I think if you guys were to stop drinking so much cheap liquor and high-tech syrup you would be able to think before speaking and typing," he tweeted. "I have nun in the world against future I listen to his music His music makes me happy and I hope he continues to bless me and others with it," Young thug added.

The Daily Beast reported that this past July, Future released his third studio album titled "DS2" while Young Thug released his album titled "Barter 6" in April, including a couple of mixtapes like "Slime Season" and "Slime Season 2," which are expected to be out this fall.
