Add Kobe Bryant to the ever-growing list of people who are not fans of Justin Bieber. Bryant flat out thinks Justin Bieber's career is going to crash sooner rather than later.

The LA Lakers strongman Kobe Bryant apparently has a "running bet" with a business associate, a Belieber, that Justin Bieber's career will not outlast that of Katy Perry's. According to a feature on the New Yorker, the 35-year-old NBA superstar believes Justin's recent antics will lead to a career implosion.

According to the report, the discussion took place in the dining room of the Four Seasons in Miami and following the 20-year-old's arrest for drag racing and DUI in Miami.

Given that the train-wreck Justin is running on is quickly coming off the rails, the Lakers sensation, five-time NBA champion and 16-time NBA all-star is banking on the longer success of the curvy "Dark Horse" singer, Katy Perry.

Kobe's Profile

The article goes on to write that Bryant is not a stranger to success as at a young age. Kobe entered the NBA at the age of 18, straight out of high school and has lived his entire basketball career at the helm of the Los Angeles Lakers team.

Now, at the age of 35, he's gotten a lot smarter and has kept to himself since his 2003 sexual assault case. Bryant is more than aware of the pitfalls of major stardom and popularity at a tender age.

With years in the limelight under his belt, the star has had his share of criticisms and a brutal cheating scandal that almost resulted in a divorce with high-school sweetheart turned wife Vanessa Bryant.

For Justin Bieber's sake, let's say the hoops legend Kobe Bryant called it wrong on this one. On the case of Katy Perry, hopefully she'll keep staying clear of any legal woes.
