Could the story of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele continue?

Recently, E.L. James, author of the bestselling Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, revealed via Instagram that she is writing once again. The proof came in a photo of her computer showing an open word processor filled with mysterious words.

"It's been a while...," the caption reads.

The Fifty Shades saga includes Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, but fans have been pleading for another for a while. The recent Instagram photo has only heightened this demand.

"Christian's point of view would make the world and my life a much better place.," an Instagram user named mayreslimerseverino said with many others agreeing.

Meanwhile, James is subtly defending the Fifty Shades of Grey movie's first released footage. A trailer was shown at Tuesday's CinemaCon. It raised many eyebrows for its lack of sexuality, which seemed to be replaced by "tame" and "romantic" scenes, according to viewers. Donna Langley, Universal Pictures chairman, called the film the next "iconic screen romance." Apparently, James feels the same way as she has been retweeting comments that support the romantic route of the film.

"@DanaBrunetti @E_L_James Why is everybody surprised that the sneak peek looks like a love story #FSOG IS A LOVE STORY!," James retweeted via @Gabi63.

The closest to S&M that the preview got was showing Anastasia wearing a blindfold, Christian's hand on her thigh and a quick shot of the Red Room's doors opening, which did not show much of the coitus cave.

"I feel the need to point out to those who have not actually read the trilogy that @FiftyShades by @E_L_James is a story about #TrueLove," James retweeted via @Kelli_Fields.

Fans will have to wait and see if steamy sex scenes surface because, as of now, there is no proof that they exist.

Fifty Shades of Grey hits theaters Feb. 13, 2015.
