Last Sunday's American Music Awards 2015 became a hot topic when "Anaconda" singer Nicki Minaj was spotted seemingly side eyeing Jennifer Lopez during her opening performance for the show. The facial expression of Minaj caused a lot of rumors of her throwing shade at Lopez.

Minaj was quick to deny the circulating rumors on Twitter on Monday. When one user wrote, "Damn J Lo....... Nicki Minaj facial expression says it all... We still love u doe," Minaj replied writing, "lol says what all? I'm looking at my own face on the screen when I'm looking to the right. I turn Bak & look @ her."

The rumors of Minaj throwing shade at Lopez sparked during the AMAs when Lopez was performing some of the biggest hits of the year including Minaj's hit "Anaconda," Entertainment Weekly reports.

During the part that Minaj's song was playing, the cameras turned to Minaj and her reaction was just a plain face turning back on the stage to watch Lopez. Many viewers and social media users speculate that it was absolutely a shade at Lopez.

Us Weekly reports that the look that Minaj has always been known to have in almost all occasions is called an RBF or a Resting Bitch Face, which is a look that she has whenever she's not making any effort to show any emotions.

However, despite what many speculated, Minaj finally broke her silence on Twitter denying the rumors. Meanwhile, the night wasn't all plain for the 32-year-old singer as she took home two awards.

Entertainment Weekly reported that Minaj received the Favorite Rap Album and Favorite Rap Artist awards. Meanwhile 46-year-old "Let's Get Loud" singer Lopez successfully hosted the star-studded event.

Lopez's highly acclaimed AMA performance was reported to be choreographed by Auckland hip hop dancer Parris Goebel, per Stuff. Goebel even posted a sweet message on his Instagram about Lopez.

"Tune in tonight to watch my beautiful team and the amazing @jlo open up the AMAs. Celebrating dance and music. She gave me my first big break in the industry and to meet up 3 years later to put this together. So grateful for the opportunity to choreograph this. All my love to my team. #History," Goebel wrote alongside a photo of a poster from the AMAs.

Besides Minaj's "Anaconda," Lopez also danced to the mash-up of songs including Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood," Beyonce's "7/11" and Drake's "Hotline Bling," Stuff further reported.
