The new season of Game of Thrones is fast approaching. With only a week left until its premiere, HBO has settled down on the teasing and given fans a glimpse behind the scenes at the making of television's most epic fantasy series.

HBO has released a series of four videos examining directing, training and costumes, as well as the making of this season's Purple Wedding.

In the first video, we hear from directors Alex Graves, Michelle MacLaren, Alik Sakharov and Neil Marshall on their experience working with the cast and preparing for the new season. Marshall, who directed last season's episode Blackwater, will return for another huge battle sequence. From the looks of the video, this one will involve Jon Snow.

The directors also seem to believe that this season could turn out to be the strongest yet.

The second feature focuses on the various weapons used in the show's fight scenes, as well as the training the actors undergo to bring these awesome sequences to life. Maisie Williams, who plays the young teen heroine Ayra Stark, discusses the stunt work done in preparation for the season. Kit Harrington notes that his character, Jon Snow, will be using new fighting techniques this time around, as he has learned that "the honorable way to fight is not necessarily the way you win."

We also get a look at some amazing weapon designs:

The third video is all about the costumes and the characters that wear them. Costume designer Michele Clapton shows us how every character's wardrobe reflects their personality and style, from Joffrey Lannister's extreme opulence, to Margaery Tyrell's dangerous beauty, to new character Oberyn Martell's snake-like fluidity.

Finally, we hear from art director Phillipa Broadhurt on the design process of Joffrey and Margaery's epic wedding.

Game of Thrones will premiere next Sunday on April 6.
