There isn't a mobile game update that's more highly anticipated than the much-hyped "Clash of Clans" patch that's been on the news for the past few months. The update, touted to be one of the biggest in franchise history, has had its ups and downs with the involved community and now new details have emerged including changes to the Town Hall, League Bonuses and more.

According to an official post on the Supercell forums, the latest sneak peek has revealed that developer wasn't afraid to make significant changes in gameplay to develop the strategy game even further.

It has long been announced that a new Town Hall level will be part of the major update, as discussed in a previous report from Latin Post. However, the new report revealed that the Town Hall system will undergo some changes with the upcoming patch making it a "primary loot target."

Part of the changes is looting a Town Hall can only begin once it's completely destroyed by an attacker. Additionally, the Town Hall and Clan Castle will be tagged as resource buildings making the damage by Goblins greater. Since it's been revamped as a resource building , loot is now distributed to the Town Hall as well, and Town Hall Gold, Elixir and Dark Elixir storage will increase with the Town Hall Levels.

Top players will be satisfied to learn that League Bonuses have been significantly increased, now progressive based on the destruction of the attacks. A 100 percent League Bonus is earned once the attacker hits at least 70 percent destruction.

"This update has been all about encouraging and rewarding fair and skillful attacks, and changes to the League Bonus system only further this goal," Supercell revealed in the forums. "The main mechanic is simple: the better your attack, the bigger your League Bonus. Making this change also has allowed us to increase League Bonuses across the board, as well as reshape the League Bonus curve to provide more compelling steps of growth as players climb the ranks."

Trophies are also a significant part of "Clash of Clans" and the developer has revamped the system saying, "High-level players will be gaining more Trophies from attacks and losing less from defense." Other changes include an increased loot percentage, lower level targets equal to less loot to attackers, and less targets offered in multiplayer matchmaking with two levels of Town Hall difference.

According to Supercell, the team designed all the changes for a specific idea explaining, "The overall goal of these changes is simple: the better of an attacker you are, the better your spoils of battle should be!"
