Perhaps in partial preparation for her sexy upcoming film Fifty Shades of Grey, singer/actress Rita Ora went topless for the latest issue of Elle UK.

Ora, who plays Mia Grey, the adoptive sister of Christian Grey (played by Jamie Dornan), in the upcoming film adaptation of E.L. James's novel, sits casually on the cover. Just a smidge of her breast is visible; the real star of the cover is her large tattoo.

"It's based on an original piece by Alberto Vargas, who was an incredible illustrator in the 1930s," Ora told the magazine. "He was one of the creators of the pin-up image. That's our build, our power."

The "How We Do" singer says she got the ink just six months ago.

"That's why I was obsessed with it; learning what men don't understand about women and what women don't understand about men," Ora explained. "I was obsessed with the painting a long time ago ... I just love pretty things, whether it is art, a song or a pair of shoes."

Ora also discussed searching for that special something in her life, which finally came in her boyfriend, electronic DJ Calvin Harris.

"There are so many things," she said. "The fact that he got something out of me that I never thought I had. Yes, like falling in love."

According to the 23-year-old, the musician introduced feelings to her that she did not know she could feel.

"I just didn't think I had it," Ora shared." I'd never experienced it before. And I was just like in the wilderness, thinking, 'Will it ever happen?'"

The May issue of Elle UK hits newsstands April 3 and includes the alternate cover below:

Fifty Shades of Grey hits theaters Feb. 13, 2015. Last week, a trailer for the film was shown at CinemaCon and raised eyebrows for its lack of sexuality, which seemed to be replaced by "tame" and "romantic" scenes, according to viewers. Donna Langley, Universal Pictures chairman, called the film the next "iconic screen romance."
