One Direction participated in a game of Tattoo Roulette with James Corden on "The Late Late Show" on Thursday night.

The four members of the English-Irish pop boy band took part in the game that threatened to leave one of them with a new tattoo, according to E! News.

Corden and the boy band, comprised of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson, each had to pick one of five boxes. Four of the boxes had the word "safe" in them and a fifth box had the word "tattoo." Whichever person chose the box with "tattoo" would have to get inked during the show.

Another twist to the game was that if Corden chose the "tattoo" box he'd have to get "1D" inked onto him, while if any of the One Direction members picked that box, they would have to get "Late Late" tattooed onto their skin.

Horan and James were the only ones in the group that didn't already have tattoos, which made Horan extremely nervous.

"I'm regretting the fact that you thought of this game too," Horan said to Corden. "I don't like this."

"Your hands are actually shaking," Corden replied.

The other members of the boy band seemed calm about getting another tattoo.

Styles said, "I'm actually fine."

"It's just going to be another stupid one," Tomlinson said in reference to some of his more deplorable tattoo choices.

The tension built as people opened their boxes. Payne went first to reveal a "safe," followed by Tomlinson whose box also said "safe."

Corden went next and stalled for a bit, but eventually revealed a "safe" as well.

In the end it comes down to Styles and Horan. Styles' box revealed the word "tattoo," leaving Horan expressing much relief.

Styles proceeded to have "Late Late" tattooed on his arm. Corden asked him if he was "alright," to which Styles answered, "I'm a little woozy." Once the tattoo was done, it was revealed to the audience.

One Direction released their fifth studio album, "Made in the A.M.," on Nov. 13. The album has produced the singles "Drag Me Down," "Perfect" and "Infinity."
