Rumors surrounding the Nintendo NX state another exciting possibility during its yet-to-be-revealed release date: a back-to-back "Final Fantasy" package.

Nintendo's upcoming new console, known as the "NX," has been the subject of numerous rumors from all corners of the gaming universe but nothing has been as exciting as this recent one.

A YouTuber, known only as SuperMetalDave64, says that someone knowledgeable about the console claims that the NX would debut alongside Square Enix's yet-to-be-released "Final Fantasy XV" as well as the much-awaited "Final Fantasy VII Remake."

Aside from that, the source also claims that the new Nintendo console will be manufactured with ports that would determine what kind of versions of the game would be released.

Though it might sound quite absurd, SuperMetalDave64's source also claims that the so-called "hybrid" gaming console from Nintendo would be much more powerful than its leading competitors: Sony's PlayStation 4 and Microsoft's Xbox One.

Meanwhile, another Nintendo follower said that an employee from the Kyoto-based company confirmed that the new gaming console from the Japanese electronics company would be launched in 2016 with its version of "The Legend of Zelda."

As for the rumored Nintendo NX release with "Final Fantasy," the Nintendo follower claims that his insider sources never mentioned it.

"No other launch games were revealed to me for the NX at this time, but the source informed me that they will confirm more information if possible in the future," the leaker stated.

Previous rumors surrounding the mysterious Nintendo console include both far-fetched claims as well as impressive possibilities regarding the game's specs and release date. However, the only thing the company confirmed was that they were working on new hardware with the codename "NX."

"In the home console space, we're focused on Wii U. NX is in the future. That's something that we'll talk about at the appropriate time," Nintendo of America President and CEO Reggie Fils-Aime declared.

Apparently, the company was forced to reveal what they are working on to ease their shareholders' minds about Nintendo's current standing in the gaming market, following Wii's disappointing numbers.

"The reason I mentioned this was, at that time, there were more than a certain number of people that thought that Nintendo would give up on the dedicated game system business and concentrate on smart device application development, or that Nintendo should take that path," Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata said during Nintendo's recent Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.
