This week in film and television castings, bachata star Prince Royce will add to his acting resume with a role on Hulu series "East Los High," while Nicky Jam will announce his Hollywood debut with a role in Vin Diesel's upcoming film.

Prince Royce Joins Teen Drama

Prince Royce will add another acting credit to his resume and continue to make his crossover when he makes his debut on Hulu's original series "East Los High."

On March 2, "East Los High" shared the announcement on their social media accounts with a video of Royce revealing his new gig.

According to Variety, Royce will play the role of Vincent, the coach of the Jefferson Park dance crew, in the series about the ups and downs of Latino youth in a working-class community in East Los Angeles.

"East Los High" is currently one of the most popular shows that is made up of an entire Latino cast. The show stars Danielle Vega, Gabriel Chavarria, Alicia Sixtos and Vannessa Vasquez. The series was renewed for a fourth season and will return in the summer of 2016. The television role will be the second for the bachata star.

Royce will also be starring as the apostle Peter in Fox’s upcoming live musical performance of "The Passion." He will act alongside Trisha Yearwood, Chris Daughtry and fellow Latino Jencarlos Canela, who will play Jesus.

According to "The Passion's" official website, the musical will be hosted and narrated by Tyler Perry and will tell the story of the last few hours of the life of the Christian Messiah, a story that is recited and acted out by Christians everywhere before Easter.

The live event, which will take place in New Orleans, will air on March 20.

Nicky Jam Heads to Hollywood

Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutiérrez, is not the only Latino cast in the upcoming Vin Diesel movie, "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage." On March 2, reggaeton artist Nicky Jam revealed that he landed a role in the action flick as well.

The "El Perdón" singer shared the news with a photo on his Instagram account and thanked his fans for helping him get the opportunity in the process.

"A dream accomplished, thank you my people for helping me get here and thank you to @vindiesel we will see each other in the movie," he wrote.

Also starring in the action film will be Samuel L. Jackson, Nina Dobrev, Ice Cube, Ruby Rose and Deepika Padukone. The movie is scheduled to be released in January 2017.
